Nordisk Sikkerhet and its selected supplier delivered decontamination equipment to SBGS
Updated: 30 March 2017
On 06 February 2017 Nordisk Sikkerhet and its supplier selected via an open tender process delivered decontamination equipment to the State Border Guard Service (SBGS) of Ukraine. The equipment included a mobile decontamination complex to be used for decontamination of persons, vehicles, equipment, materials and terrain in case of possible contamination incidents with nuclear and radiological materials.
The delivered equipment was subject to entry control and inspection. The equipment was accepted by comparison of quantities of delivered goods with those in accompanying documents, with the contract for supply of the equipment, as well as by visual examination for any mechanical damage of package and/or the equipment.
The equipment is to be supplied within a framework of a joint project between Nordisk Sikkerhet and the State Border Guard Service (SBGS) of Ukraine. This project is supported as an international technical assistance to Ukraine under the Norwegian Government Action Plan for nuclear activities and the environment in the northern areas. The Action Plan is administered by the Norwegian Radiation Protection Authority (NRPA) on behalf of the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
