Nordisk Sikkerhet participates in testing of mobile detection complex

On 02 December 2016 Nordisk Sikkerhet representative Pavel Tishakov participated in acceptance tests of mobile automated complex for detection of radioactive and nuclear materials. The complex is supplied within a framework of a joint project between Nordisk Sikkerhet and the State Border Guard Service (SBGS) of Ukraine. This project is supported as an international technical assistance to Ukraine under the Norwegian Government Action Plan for nuclear activities and the environment in the northern areas. The Action Plan is administered by the Norwegian Radiation Protection Authority (NRPA) on behalf of the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The tests were conducted on the premises of the George Kuzmich Training Centre for Physical Protection, Accounting and Control of Nuclear Material, which is located at the Kiev Institute for Nuclear Research, National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
A number gamma and neutron sources of various activity were used in these tests with successful detection results.
