Nordisk Sikkerhet AS hosted a delegation from the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine (SBGS) from December 13th to 18th, 2015. The three SBGS representatives met with Nordisk Sikkerhet experts in Norway.
During the visit Nordisk Sikkerhet and SBGS discussed the status of the current project for the Mukachevskiy border detachment, reviewed the recent progress and planned for upcoming tasks. Additional issues relating to international support for the Ukrainian SBGS were also discussed, as well as the potential for new projects in the future.
A meeting between SBGS representatives, Nordisk Sikkerhet experts, and the Norwegian Radiation Protection Authority (NRPA) was held on December 18th. The purpose of the meeting was to update NRPA on the current status of the project jointly implemented by SBGS and Nordisk Sikkerhet AS, and discussed what needs remain for the detachment and for SBGS as a whole. General issues of border security in Eastern Europe were discussed as well.
"Bringing people together is an important part of what we do," said Nordisk Sikkerhet founder and project manager Pavel Tishakov. "Visits such as the one now between Nordisk Sikkerhet and SBGS help us to strengthen ties and cooperation between Norway and Ukraine, and to discuss in a friendly face-to-face environment various issues faced by SBGS and European border security as a whole. This is the first project between Nordisk Sikkerhet and SBGS. Upon the successful completion of this project, we look forward to continued cooperation between our organizations to develop and implement additional projects and measures which will be of benefit to Norway, Ukraine, and the wider European community."
